College Credit for Heroes - In November 2011, on behalf of the Texas Workforce Commission and in support of the College Credit for Heroes initiative authorized under Senate Bill (SB) 1736 (82nd Texas Legislature, 2011), Indtai's ITS team began development of an online articulation system and web-based, searchable database for the College Credit for Heroes (CCH) initiative sponsored by the Texas Workforce Commission.

The one-stop portal facilitates the evaluation and articulation of military education and experience into college credits that can then be applied towards a degree program offered by Texas based colleges participating in the initiative. The system incentivizes service members and veterans to pursue higher education options for enhanced career options by searching for and seeing the recommended college credits that may be awarded for their military experience, training and prior education. They can then request formal evaluations and application of credits towards degree programs at colleges participating in the CCH initiative. The program, initially starting with 7 participating colleges, has grown to include over 44 participating institutions.

The CCH portal utilizes an Open Source technology stack consisting of Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL and Drupal CMS and is deployed on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud. Using Agile methodologies, the Indtai project team executed to an aggressive schedule, deploying a beta version in December 2011 and subsequently going live, as scheduled, on March 31, 2012. Indtai continues to provide Level 2, 3, and 4 Support and full hosting and operational maintenance for the portal.
